An illustrated book based on the landscapes and mitology of the Icelandic Sagas.
Veröld vættanna, is the story of the Protectors of the land", named Bergrisinn, Berglind, Brimir and Skotta, who guide us through the wonderland of Reykjanes and educate children of all ages about the history of the area and its delicate nature.
The goal of the book is to rise awareness of environmental issues by increasing children's interest in their origins and connection to the area.
The book also included a coloring booklet with drawings of Reykjanes' landmarks and pictures from the book itself.
This project consists in a series of illustrations aiming to create awareness amongst children by explaining complex things in a simple way.
Veröld vættanna, is the story of the "Spirits of the land", named Bergrisinn, Berglind, Brimir and Skotta, who guide us through the wonderland of Reykjanes and educate children of all ages on the history of the earth, the land, the environment and the sea. The delicate nature of the area and the history and background of Reykjanes is presented to children in the hope to create an emotional connection which will encourage them to take care of their environment in the future.
